Riding Lessons,

Cavallo Creek Farm prides itself on nurturing quality, athletic, heads-up riders.  We have been in business here training at Cavallo Creek for five years.  Our head trainer Megan Wilson has more than 20 years of experience in the horse industry from english to wester, local to national level shows.

Our lessons range from beginners to advanced riders.  Depending on what you are looking for in your riding there is most likely a spot open for you.  If you are looking for something very specific we will be more than willing to cater to and develop a program that fits your needs. 

We typically will begin riders as early as six years old, but will be more than willing to work with any age. New students are taught from the beginning of brushing horses, tacking them up and the very basics of riding.  Since every barn is different and every trainer has their way of doing things, new riders at Cavallo Creek will be walked through how to do these things for the first several weeks until the rider and the staff at Cavallo Creek feel comfortable enough with the individual doing this work on their own. 

All of the horses here at Cavallo Creek have been worked with and trained to listen to beginner riders as well as the teaching staff.  All of the horses are 100% safe and should at no time you feel uncomfortable with the horse that you are on. 

Lessons are only done in small groups (2-4 riders).  This give the teaching staff the ability to focus on and work with every rider individually. 

One hour group lessons are $30

One hour private lessons are $45
